Organic Maitake Mushroom Powder

Sevenhills Wholefoods Organic Maitake Mushroom Powder, made from China, also commonly known as ‘The King of the Mushrooms’ in Japan. Maitake are rich in polysaccharides and many other verified bioactive compounds that are likely responsible for metabolism, immunity, and the body’s protection against infection including flavonoids, vitamins and minerals.

Maitake is a fungus and the fruiting body can reach a width of up to 100cm. It grows in large clusters near bases of trees and stumps in forests in Asia and has been used in Asian traditional medicine for thousands of years. Our Organic Maitake Powder is certified organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05. 

Processing 

The fruiting bodies of the maitake mushrooms are harvested, dried, granulated and then ground into a fine powder.

This product does not contain any substances causing allergies (Directive 2007/68/EC) as or intolerances as ingredients or by the possibility of cross-contamination. No colours, binders, fillers or preservatives added. Certified organic by the Soil Association and registered by the Vegan society. 

Suggested Use

Add 2g to soups, sauces and seasonings, or simply add to a cup of hot water as an instant tonic tea.
