Originating in India, Turmeric has traditionally been used in Ayurvedic medicine and for its health benefiting properties. Sevenhills Wholefoods Organic Turmeric is grown in Northern India, where it thrives due to the hot and humid climate.

The product is made up of the roots and rhizomes of the Curcuma Longa plant, giving turmeric its characteristic bright yellow/orange colour and strong peppery taste. We state our Turmeric is ≥2% curcumin. The average curcumin content of turmeric is anything from 2-3%. We have previously tested our turmeric for curcumin and have had results of 2.4%.

Processing:

Our Organic Turmeric is harvested and the root is cleaned. The product is then ground down and steam sterilised before being packed. 

Allergens:

This product does not contain any substances causing allergies (Directive 2007/68/EC) as or intolerances as ingredients or by the possibility of cross-contamination. No colours, binders, fillers or preservatives added. Certified organic by the Soil Association and registered by the Vegan society. 

Suggested Use:

We recommend taking 1-2 teaspoons (up to 5g) of powder per day mixed with juice, a smoothie or a protein shake. Alternatively, add to curries or sauces.
